DART for ART

Rebecca Lambing recently donated a beautiful painting to non-profit Lymelight Foundation for the fifth year in a row. “Out of the Blue”, a 24”x30” acrylic painting on cradled birch is the latest piece to be offered. It will be available for attendees of Lymelight’s San Francisco Bay Area fundraiser “Dart for Art” on March 29, 2019.

“I always try to create something new and special that will be highly desirable to reward the eventual recipient for also donating to a worthwhile cause,” Rebecca explains.

Lymelight provides grants nationwide to enable eligible children and young adults with Lyme disease to receive proper treatment and medication. The Lyme spirochete bacteria is hard to detect and hard to kill and health insurance often doesn’t cover the treatment.

Dart for Art is not an auction and not your typical cocktail party. Here’s how it works; as guests arrive each couple or single will be assigned numbers which will be used for the “Dart”. Guests will stroll through the gallery enjoying cocktails and meeting the artists, and previewing the various works of art. After a brief introduction the fun will begin. The numbers will be randomly pulled. As your number is called you are invited to Dart for your favorite piece of art. Dart for Art is a wonderful opportunity to obtain original art and have a good time doing it, all while supporting LymeLight Foundation.

Rebecca shares “I encourage visual artists to donate artwork to be juried in for this good cause and all art lovers are invited to purchase a ticket to attend the Dart for Art event. It is a lively and exciting evening for an exceptional cause. I look forward to the event every year." You can find out more information about Dart for Art by clicking here.
