Bison at the Thermals

Yvonne Newhouse reports: 

"I have been working on some new and adventurous painting styles in the last few months and somebody out there likes it. I was pleased to be awarded 1st place in the California Watercolor Society’s “Risky Business” juried show for Bison at the Thermals. The call for art was for artists to try something out of their comfort zone. My painting involved pouring paint, a lot of spraying, wet into wet and masking, inspired by a recent trip to Jackson Hole Wy."

Yvonne's work and those of other members of the California Watercolor Association can be seen at the gallery located in the John Muir Medical Complex. The show was juried by Valerie Patricia Cohen and Linda Sutton.
